Jamshedpur: Indian cricketer R Ashwin slammed India’s leading Airline network IndiGo over his recent terrible experience while booking a ticket from third party platform.
IndiGo has been facing a lot of backlashes recently due to its poor communication and improper service. Recently Ravichandran Ashwin wrote his grudges towards the airline in reply to cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle’s former tweet to Indigo expressing his concern over an elderly couple struggling when their seats were changed without explanation.
Ashwin wrote, “This is becoming a regular menace @IndiGo6E, my recent experience with them through a third party booking platform was terrible, they make you pay and then end up doing whatever they choose to do. Not sure if it’s a scam !! heyyy who is ever going to pull them up ??? All we can do is to not trust them. Even if you pay, they won’t give your blocked seats, Don’t waste your time or energy”.
Previously Harsha Bhogle had also tweeted, “Another example of #IndigoFirstPassengerLast. An elderly couple on my flight had paid for seats in row 4 so they wouldn’t have to walk much”.
He further wrote, “She felt compelled to make a scene, as otherwise, she would have had to walk to the 19th row and potentially face the inconvenience of returning to the 4th row if those seats became available after boarding. The elderly lady mentioned that such occurrences were unfortunately common and very stressful for individuals of her age when traveling with IndiGo. She expressed a wish that IndiGo didn’t have a monopoly. She found it disheartening to see the casual treatment of elderly passengers and hoped that IndiGo would sensitize its ground staff to give priority to passengers and avoid institutionalizing such careless practices. As someone who takes pride in a successful Indian enterprise, she wished for greater sensitivity and responsibility from the airline.”
Soon social media was full of tweets with people agreeing about the deteriorating status of IndiGo.
