On 13th December 2024, CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML), Jamshedpur organized One-day Exposure training on Materials & Metallurgical process for the college students and faculties of Srianth University,Jamshedpur. The objective to promote scientific awareness among college students and by exposing them to the world of scientific research and innovation. This program was organized under the CSIR-Integrated Skill Initiative programme.
30 boys and 17 girls students from Srinath University, Jamshedpur visited CSIR-NML. They were accompanied by total 3 faculties. In the morning inaugural programme was arranged. The inaugural programme started with a welcome address delivered by Dr. Sandip Ghosh Chowdhury, Director of CSIR-NML. He welcomed all attendees who joined the programme and briefly mentioned about the contribution of CSIR to the development of our nation in the past 82 years of glory through various technological development and pioneering works. The program included visits to some research laboratories like AAC, Creep, Urban Ore Recycling and Workshop.
The programme was concluded with a vote of thanks and group Photographs by all attendees. Overall, the students and faculties expressed their immense satisfaction with the insightful experience gained during the laboratory visit.
