National Testing Agency at stake!
Jamshedpur, June 22: The sudden cancellation of UGC-NET had led to students to come out and protest against the National Testing Agency (NTA) who was supposed to ‘conduct’ the exams with transparency.
The National Testing agency who claims to “maintain ensure efficiency, transparency, and error-free delivery in assessing candidates’ competence” is under a lot of pressure due to the paper leak going on in India.
After the news of UGC-NET papers may have been leaked the Ministry of Education cancelled the examination one day before the exam was supposed to happen and the CBI to probe the case while not doing the same on the NEET paper leak.
The government has not yet answered why NET which was conducted offline till 2018 and after taken over by National testing agency it was changed to an online exam, only to revert this year to an offline exam again.
With over 9 lakh student’s Future in jeopardy NTA has given a reassurance of this kind of scam won’t be happening in near future again. Many opposition leaders had asked the case should be handed to the states for better investigation.
In last 10 years several paper leaks had happened, now the question rises, what went wrong in NTA for the constant paper leak happening in India any why the bill to prevent “unfair means” in order to “bring greater transparency, fairness and credibility to the public examinations system” is not being followed.
