Jamshedpur: Loyola School in Jamshedpur recently hosted its annual inter-school festival, тАШAzionare.тАЩ The event saw a distinguished presence with Sajid Ali, the acclaimed writer-director of the film Wo Din Bhi Kya Din The, as the chief guest. The festival commenced with a ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Sajid Ali, the school principal, and other esteemed guests. This was followed by an enthusiastic welcome dance performed by the schoolтАЩs students. The festival was marked by a vibrant display of enthusiasm from the students. The principal addressed the audience, which included both students and teachers, and was followed by a poetic address from the Vice Principal, Father Vinod Fernandes. He congratulated everyone involved in the event with his characteristic poetic flair.
Dramatic Performances by Students
The highlight of тАШAzionareтАЩ was the studentsтАЩ dramatic reenactments of famous movie scenes. Various teams took to the stage to perform scenes from popular films. The INOX team presented a courtroom scene from the film Pink, focusing on womenтАЩs empowerment. The Phantom team showcased a classroom scene from 3 Idiots, emphasizing the importance of understanding the curriculum over rote memorization. Other performances included scenes from Stree and Mary Kom. Each performance was limited to six minutes and was judged by a panel led by renowned theater artist Shivlal Sagar, who is well-known across Jharkhand for his experience in theater as an actor, writer, and director.

Notably, Sajid Ali is an alumnus of Loyola School. Besides Wo Din Bhi Kya Din The, he has also penned the film Cocktail, and his recent works Laila Aur Majnu have garnered significant attention on OTT platforms. He is also the younger brother of Film writer-director Imtiaz Ali.
Participation and Activities
The second edition of тАШAzionareтАЩ saw participation from over 1,000 students across 15 schools in the city. The festival featured various competitions including canvas painting, debate, bio quiz, business pitch, and math quiz. The success of the event was a collective effort by the teachers and students of Loyola School, who contributed significantly to making the festival a memorable experience.
