Twitter wars are very common in Bollywood. Actors like Swara Bhaskar and Kangna Ranaut often get into Twitter wars with others, sometimes turning into huge verbal fights that make headlines.
Recently, actress turned politician Kangna Ranaut publicly slammed actor Sonu Sood for defending a food vendor who spat on a customer’s food. Sonu’s remarks drew widespread backlash after he equated the incident to the Ramayana story of Shabri offering berries to Lord Ram.
The Incident
Kangna, known for her outspoken views, took to social media platform X to criticize Sonu Sood. She wrote, “Next you know Sonu ji will direct his own Ramayana based on his own personal findings about God and religion. Wah kya baat hai Bollywood se ek aur Ramayana.”

The controversy erupted when a video surfaced showing a boy spitting on rotis meant for customers, and Sonu Sood defended the vendor. He tweeted, “Our Shri Ram Ji ate the sour berries of Shabri, so why can’t I eat them? Violence can be defeated by non-violence, my brother. Humanity must just remain intact. Jai Shri Ram.”
Sonu Sood’s tweet did not sit well with X users. One user suggested sending the spit rotis to Sonu Sood himself.

Sonu Sood, along with his social work, is busy with his upcoming Bollywood projects. He will soon be seen in a cybercrime thriller featuring Jacqueline Fernandez and Naseeruddin Shah. The film is produced by Zee Studios and directed by Abhinandan Gupta.
