Jamshedpur, December 17, 2024: Tata Steel UISL, has been awarded the 2nd prize in the oral paper presentation at the 3rd International Conference on “Emerging Challenges in the Prevention and Control of Vector-Borne Diseases”. The prestigious event, organised in collaboration with Absolute Human Care Foundation, New Delhi, took place at Loyola College, Chennai, and brought together global experts, researchers, and organizations to share innovative strategies for combating vector-borne diseases.
The winning presentation, titled “Dengue Speedometer: A Predictive Model for Rapid Response in Dengue Outbreak Management,” highlights an innovative approach developed by Tata Steel UISL to predict, respond to, and mitigate dengue outbreaks in urban areas. The model has been recognised for its data-driven efficiency, rapid response mechanisms, and community-centric approach, making it a scalable solution for effective disease management in densely populated regions.
