Iran’s air defense confirmed intercepting missile attacks by Israel on the major cities in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces. Tensions in the region are growing as Iran affirms readiness to counter all potential threats.
According to official reports, the attacks happened during early Saturday morning, and therefore, Iran’s integrated air defense system reacted promptly. The military called the actions “adventurous” and repeated earlier warnings to Israel not to make any further provocative moves.
As for reports of minor damage, officials confirmed missile strikes did not hit IRGC military centers and their air defense has been able to effectively neutralize the threat, with interceptions over Tehran captured on video and circulating on social media.
Citizens in Tehran complained of hearing air defense systems, but activities resumed at the major airports, like Mehrabad International Airport and Imam Khomeini International Airport. According to security sources, all are cool and safe and insist that not a single incident required emergency services.
