New Delhi: Singer Sharda Sinha, who is titled тАШBihar Kokila,тАЩ or тАШthe cuckoo of BiharтАЩ for her melodious voice, has been in the hospital for several days. The Padma Bhushan awardee 72-year-old Sharda Sinha was put on ventilator. She has been undergoing treatment in AIIMS Hospital in Delhi for a long time.
Recently, her son, Anshuman, took live on his official YouTube to update fans on her health status and appealed to the viewers to pray for her recovery. The official statement released by AIIMS reports that the singer is stable hemodynamically but kept under strict observation. During a live session on his YouTube channel, SinhaтАЩs son Anshuman said his mother was on a ventilator and asked everyone to pray for her recovery.
He said he wants authentic information so that no wrong news circulation happens at such a sensitive time. Anshuman wishes that the lady will survive with such considerable pain. He wished every person watching Chhath Puja pray for her as she has been doing service for her country and state since past years.
He said the fight was hard and continues to request continued prayers since her condition has just worsened, according to doctors. He added that the medical team is doing their best, and he had just met with them to get the latest updates. Sharda Sinha is reportedly in shock since the recent passing away of her husband, Brij Kishore Sinha.
A proud Bihar native, Sinha dedicates herself to the preservation of folk music and sings extensively in Maithili and Bhojpuri. She started off with all traditional folk songs and then progressed to make a mark on Hindi Cinema. She made her premier performance singing to Mauritius Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam while he visited Bihar.
