Jamshedpur: XLRI тАУ Xavier School of Management hosted a two day Internationl Finance Conference on September 13th & 14th to celebrate itтАЩs Platinum Jubilee, focusing on тАЬтАЬClimate Change and Energy Transition: The Role of Green Finance in Sustainable DevelopmentтАЭ.
The event featured keynote speaker Professor Sushanta Mallick from Queen MaryтАЩs School of Business and Management alongside panel discussions involving industry leaders from Tata Steel, Deloitte, IDFC First Bank, and Societe Generale. Dean (Administration and Finance), Dean (Academics), Faculty members of the Institute, and research scholars and dignitaries from different universities and Business Schools from India and abroad were also present in the event.
In his opening remark, Professor A.K. Banerjee, Chair of the conference, stressed on the importance of collaboration academia and industry to combat climate challenges. Participants explored the critical role of green finance in addressing climate risks and fostering sustainable practices.
The conference concluded with best paper awards, reinforcing XLRIтАЩs commitment to academic excellence and research in the field of finance and sustainability.
