Residents of Devagondanahalli village in KarnatakaтАЩs Chikkamagaluru district are grappling with a puzzling health crisis. Numerous individuals have been afflicted with symptoms including swollen legs and intense body aches, sparking concern among locals and health authorities alike.
The mysterious condition, which has persisted for some time now, has prompted urgent investigations to determine its cause. Authorities are focusing on environmental factors, potential infections, and other local variables that may be linked to the outbreak.
Despite visiting several government and private hospitals, villagers are yet to find the reason behind the illness happening in the village. The symptoms are very similar to chikungunya, but no cases have been reported.
A villager of Devagondanahalli said, тАЬPeople of all age groups are being affected with the same sickness, and they have lost their appetite completely. There are around 400 families in the village, and every family has had at least one sick person since last month.тАЭ
